The phenomenally successful Supernanny TV programme, now broadcast in 47 countries, asked us to extend their brand into the online world. We launched the UK and US websites at the end of 2006. Our remit was to create the number one online parenting portal.
We utilised cutting edge web 2.0 techniques to create a vibrant user community. This was achieved through the introduction of online forums and weekly blogs, where parents can ask questions, share advice and find support. We incorporated advice articles on every aspect of parenting. These cover famous techniques such as the Naughty Step, and expert advice on health, discipline, sleep issues and leisure.
The site offers a clean, crisp visual feel allied to a modular CMS-driven back end, allowing for maximum flexibility. The site is fully e-commerce enabled and offers merchandise, digital downloading of directory listings, sponsorship and commercial opportunities. We feel the site is a great example of brand extension, taking an offline show into the online arena and adapting it so that it exploits all of the strengths of the medium.
